Contractors Sales Co. was founded by Albert J. Mantica in 1923 in Green Island, NY, as a supplier of industrial hardware. Soon after, the company expanded into construction equipment and today is a premier provider of heavy equipment backed by a superior parts, service and customer service and support team at its locations in Albany and Middletown, New York.
Through the years Contractors Sales Company, Inc. has been involved with virtually every major project that has impacted the Capital District Region and surrounding areas. In the past, these projects included construction of the New York State Thruway and the Saint Lawrence Seaway. More recent projects include the NYC reservoir and water supply system, the PCB cleanup of the Hudson River and the Albany Airport Connector at Exit 4 of the Adirondack Northway (Interstate 87).
